I warn you - there's no "filler" on this album. Medaforacle has a strong delivery and sharp, real lyrics. In the title track, he sets the tone early and doesn't look back. "Don't ever lose sight of your goals," is the kind of positive determination the rapper feeds off throughout the rest of the songs. You'll hear him diversify his style on "Natural Beauty" and then come back with more great lyrics for "Impressions."
Beatsofreen puts together soulful beats with just the right dynamics, like the title song and "Soul Love". The instrumentation really shines on songs like "Natural Beauty" and "Everybody Needs Someone", which ends in a cool, unexpected way.
"Sweet Lady" is another great performance from both of these guys. The Dutch beatmaker puts up another gem, and Medaforacle comes with one of his best flows. Mister Miranda is featured with a solid verse, too.
In my opinion, they saved the best for last, with "Alarm Clock Music". Sick vocals. Sick beat. I keep going back to this one.
You'll know what I mean when you hear it.
Overall, Medaforacle and Beatsofreen got on the same page for "Global Soul", put out music that sounds exactly as they feel it should. It's refreshing, positive, memorable, and well-executed.
